  1. Great first chapter, congrats! I will be doing NaNoWriMo 2017! This will be my first time, excited but don’t know what to expect. If you have any advice, I welcome it.

I’d be thrilled to read your ARC, if still available.

    1. Hi Shelley. Thanks for taking a peek at my first chapter. I have just sent the manuscript off to a publisher, so am not sending out ARCs at this time, but if that falls through I am going to publish it myself and will send some ARCs out before doing that to see if any changes are needed. I will keep you on the list. And kudos to you for doing NaNoWriMo 2017! It’s awesome. Get ready to spend your evenings at the computer writing. Set a goal of about 1700 words per day and try to always exceed that and you’ll be right on track. DO NOT edit as you go, just write. Editing comes later, just get the words down. Make sure you have water or coffee at your side with some snacks and take regular breaks. My problem the first time I did it was I would sit without a break and my legs would fall asleep. Do some planning, outlining and any research you need to do ahead of time. I had all my character bios done and an outline done so I knew right where I was going and only had a couple nights that the words stopped flowing. If that happens, take a break, it’s your mind telling you that you need one. Best of luck to you. I hope you reach your goal. Please email me back and let me know how you are doing.
      Write on.
      Linda
